I have been passing through New Mexico en route to Tennessee from California with my family ever since I was very young. Even as a child I was impressed by the natural grandeur of the place. When I retired I started gradually spending more and more time there and will soon be a full time resident of Pie Town in Catron County, New Mexico.
Catron County is typical of the natural beauty that New Mexico is so well known for. Upon arriving here my long dormant desire to photograph the wonders of our natural world was reawakened. Majestic vistas, sumptuous sunsets and sunrises, interesting flora and fauna, dark star filled night skies and weather that ties it all together soon filled my hard drive. After a particularly spectacular thunderstorm which I was fortunate enough to have photographed I shared some of the images with Kathy (the proprietor of the Pie-O-Neer Café and my Muse) who encouraged me to make those and other images of the local area available in the form of postcards and prints. At present the photographs shown on this site, along with others that I’ve taken as well as the work of others, are available only at the Pie-O-Neer Café in Pie Town, New Mexico.
The purpose of this site is to present my photography to a larger audience than one might reasonably expect to see pass through Pie Town. I also hope to be able to share the work of other local artists and anything else that I think may be of interest.
